Re Fashion : To fashion again or anew
It is a concept that has been followed timelessly but is making its way into
mainstream fashion as a result of the current "Green" movement.
It is refashioning older garment into new ideas by adding to it or using elements
from different garments, together, to create an entirely new article of clothing.
Original and environmentally responsible.

The
jacket is a 50/50 poly/rayon blend in a light heathered gray. It is a very
tailored looking jacket with pockets a band across the back and a longer cut
which made it perfect for the Victorian era styling that I wanted to give
it. There is a ruffled trim that runs along the collar and down the front
that I finished off with a burgundy lace on the inside. The bursting bloom
is handcrafted by me using felted wool, cotton muslin and ecru toole. The
flower is attached with a pin and tacked down in a couple of spots so it is
easily removed for cleaning.

Poppies
in felted wool are the focus of this skirt. They wind around a vintage placemat
pocket and spill down the side, entwined in satin ribbon.
The
skirt is 100% Linen with a subdued sequin trim at the bottom hem. It is lined
in polyester and zips up the side. The size is 10.

Oh
so sweet in baby pink and cream. Take a pretty pink top in lightweight cotton,
add a fancy stripey ruffle and felted wool flower and you've got one adorable
top. Perfect for summer.
A
beautiful wool poncho that can be worn several ways. The poncho itself is
made from a wool throw. The edges have decorative stitching and I have created
a collar at the top. A vintage crochet doilie has been added to the top and
can be worn around the neck as shown in the photos. There is a button to secure
it around your neck. The crochet doilie can be worn unfastened as well. The
large felted flower pin can be removed altogether and worn on another garment.
I've also added some small felt flowers here and there. Try wearing the poncho
as shown or with the seam down the center in front. Anyway you wear it this
piece is stunning and an absolute one of a kind.
